The hand-out of books occured at the first meeting of the new season, on September 24th 2019. Please bring either cash or check made payable to Blue Willow Bookshop. The cost will roughly be $30, which covers eight hand-curated books thoughtfully selected by Blue Willow Bookshop owner, Valerie Kholer. These selections are made with feedback from the group mind, and include memoirs, fiction, mysteries, and this year, a National Book Award winner in the Young Adult category.
The books will be passed on the date of the next monthly meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting it is your responsibility to make arrangements to pass the book in a timely manner to the next person on the list.
This year's selections are the following:
Late Migrations by Margaret Renkl
Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
Save Me Some Plums by Ruch Reichl
The World That We Knew by Alice Hoffman
Lady in the Lake by Laura Lippman
The Lager Queen of MN by J. Ryan Stradal
Call Your Daughter Home by Deborah Spera
Honey Bus by Meredith May
